If I had the ear of Justin Trudeau for 20 seconds, this is likely what i would tell him:

Proportional Representation is best way to address the artificial regionalism created by First Past The Post. The growing polarization is a result of false majorities and under-representation of small parties under FPTP. Each substantial voting block should have a voice that reflects its share of the votes. One member in a district cannot represent all the sentiment in the district. Let's have multi-member districts and fair voting. Block Voting is just as unfair as any single-winner system. Preferential voting is single-winner and is not proportional. STV, party-list PR or MMP would make Canada better!

that and

Pull your finger out!
