First past the post means arbitrary districts

You might have read in my other blogs about arbitrary, artificial districts that are a part of FPTP electoral systems.

Here's a case in point:

from Edmonton Bulletin, June 4, 1919

"Part of the Victoria provincial riding is in the Strathcona federal riding and part in the Strathcona federal."

Should the voters feel respected when they are being chivied like that, divided and re-divided by such a chaotic system?
