New normal can be fairer than the old economy, despite what Freeland says.

Chrystia Freeland this morning on CBC radio stated the Liberal's case that it would work to "Build Back Stronger" after the pandemic passes, and for that reason the Liberal government does not want to sing on to long-standing commitments such as pharma care, public dental care, public eye care program

She talked of encouraging innovation, small businesses, etc.

She does not seem to realize that public pharma care and public dental and eye care would support small businesses - those businesses that operate in those sectors. Now people do not care for their eyes and teeth as well as they should because of financial needs. Spending tax dollars on such would help the average worker and the poor while providing human dignity where it is known to be needed.

A future economy where workers have pharma care and public dental and eye care would thus be a more fair economy.

And I believe the creation of a fair economy should be the goal of any government, including the present Liberal government. and should be given a higher priority than a return to the old normal.

Thanks for reading.
