The "Minnewanka Lake Wildman" has been seen occasionally since at least 1895. (source: no. 1)

"Wild Men of the Woods" have been occasionally sighted in the Windy Point area, west of Nordegg, in the upper North Saskatchewan River corridor, since the late 1800s. (North Saskatchewan River Guide (2002), p. 3)
Natives said they have seen a family of five individuals on the Kootenay Plains, in the Windy Point area.

Mr. Green, author of On the Track of the Sasquatch, (newspaperman in the Harrison Lakes area of BC) came through Red Deer on way to Big Horn Dam area to follow up the reports.
Said he doubts if individual was 4 metres tall, but definitely it seems it was a hairy man-like creature, whose description is remarkably similar to hundreds of other reports.

Sasquatch researcher Rene Dahinden told Gateway reporter that human-ness is measured by demonstration of "abstract thought, speech, tools, and fire culture," none of which, he said, reported sightings have demonstrated.

and have posted a $100,000 reward for anyone who brings a Sasquatch into the publisher's office. the Sasquatch to be alive, and to be returned to place of capture a week after scientific verification.

near Tete Jaune Cache, west of Jasper.
north of Harrison Lake
1934 two brothers, R.F. Blakeney and C.K. Blakeney, launched what was said to be first Sasquatch-hunting expedition in history when they set off to that area to follow up reports of sightings.
