City of Edmonton mistake -- Scona Road sidewalk removed

The City of Edmonton did a real fizzle at 99th Street and Saskatchewan Drive. and along Scona Road.

It closed a sidewalk along the east side of 99th Street and put in dangerous crossings of Sask Dr. and 99th Street.

Finally a couple years later City is making necessary - and expensive - changes to make the crossing at Saskatchewan Drive safer. But is still adamant that the sidewalk will not be returned. Why not do it right the first time?

And why would the City ever - I mean ever - take out a sidewalk?

Thanks for reading.
